Location
Brighton is an established academic centre with two universities, which together comprise over twenty thousand full-time students.
The area has exceptionally good recreational facilities including one of the largest and most modern marinas in Europe, golf courses, county cricket, an athletics stadium, horse riding, swimming pools, an abundance of tennis courts (some indoors) and over three thousand acres of parks and gardens. There are also opportunities for those who enjoy the theatre, good restaurants and other forms of evening entertainment.
Bartholomews Tutorial College is located on the borders of the famous ‘Lanes’ in Brighton, originally an area of fishermen’s cottages, which is now an intriguing maze of antique shops, jewellers, boutiques, bookshops and restaurants. The College premises are in the very centre of Brighton, within walking distance of the main train station (ten minutes), the main bus terminal (two minutes), easy car parking (one minute), and just one hundred yards from the beach.
Parking
Access to the Town Hall car park is from Black Lion Street, which is effectively one-way, northbound from the seafront. Exits from the car park lead into Bartholomew Square. From here turn left into Prince Albert Street, and you will be immediately opposite the College premises.
